New For 2010 - Laptop Repairs

Last year, we set a 2010 New Year's goal to be able to offer all of our customers and friends fast, safe, and reliable laptop repair - and it's the one goal we've kept:

  • NEW FOR 2010:, WCC LAPTOP REPAIR
  • Drop Your Laptop Off - Or Mail It In
  • The Consumer Electronics Show - Trends for 2010

This month, we share the details of our new laptop service, plus share some cool trends we picked up when we traveled to Las Vegas to attend the massive Computer Electronics Show in mid-January.

Laptop Repairs - On Site - NowLaptop Repairs NOW AVAILABLE On-Site at WCC
Many of our customers are avid laptop users - for work, play, and for some, their only computer.

But when a laptop starts to perform badly, or just fails completely, many people are left with very few options...

You either have to ship it back to the manufacturer (4-8 WEEKS) or take it to a vendor who will ship it back to the manufacturer (5-10 weeks).

Effective immediately - We Care Computers is now accepting all models of laptops for immediate repair at our Bishop's Corner facility.

That means just a couple of days instead of weeks - we now have in-shop laptop techs, diagnostic tools, and parts for many of the most popular laptops.  If we don't have the parts in stock - they are literally just a day or two away by UPS shipping.

So we can now help you solve laptop problems as well as your computer and network problems.

WCC's Laptop Repair service is only available at our office facility
– the equipment we need to test and diagnose laptop problems can't be carried to your office or home.

So you have TWO EASY OPTIONS to have your laptop serviced or repaired:

1.  Folks in Greater Hartford - DROP IT OFF at our Bishop's Corner location (directions). 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, M-F

2.  If you're outside driving distance - MAIL IT IN - Postal Service, UPS, FED-X (please insure it).  We will return your computer via UPS.

In both cases - We Care Computers will contact you and outline what work needs to be performed and cost before we begin repairs.  Please give us a call or email if you have any questions.

If you are shipping your computer - it's a good idea to include a note and tell us what kind of problems you've been experiencing!  Thanks

HIGHLIGHTS:  Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas

Avi and Tahl recently traveled to Las Vegas to attend the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) - the largest trade show in the US.  Trends?  They saw lots of 3D TV (available in stores this year), more iphone apps than they could count, and report that Digital Electonic Readers (aka E-Readers) are not just the Kindle and Nook anymore.  Everyone's geting into the game.

On the computer side - processing speed and storage are still growing incredibly fast - and the new mini "Slate" computers were a big hit at the show.  Every manufacturer is chasing the Ipad - Apples new slate / tablet computer that was not at the show - just released last week to great fanfare.  Light, sleek, cool, and of course, lots of apps.

Pictured here is something that looks like it came from Star Trek - a giant computer monitor where you arrange itiems on the screen using your hands.  Touch screen monitors are already avaliable in the computer world - and they'll be much more common in the near future.

Optimism is a strategy for making a better future.  Because unless you believe that the future can be better, It’s unlikely you will step up and take responsibility for making it so. ~Noam Chomsky
